When did you join pedal? Spring 2016 – love being part of a team
How long have you been riding and racing? 4 years
What is your absolute favorite road or trail to ride? Leadville trails. Locally I love to run the Flatirons and ride Golden to Superior Roads and trails.
What piece of bike equipment/gear can you not live without? My tubeless wheels
Favorite thing to do when you’re NOT riding your bike? Family. The mountains, trails, the mountains again… and work (Real Estate)
Favorite motivational quote/saying? “Go out hard, when it hurts, speed up.” – Matt Carpenter
Best race experience or highlight? Leadville, Leadman series 15th place overall 2014, Leadville Lap the Lake 1st place (road race)
What are your goals for 2016? Rehabbing from a 2015 hip surgery so playing it by feel. Basically to regain my form/fitness and get back on track for future years. My intentions were to be much more active in the riding, training, and racing scene, but life/work and my hip surgery has slowed that. I am already focusing on 2017!
I was/am an ultrarunner (think i still am??) and took up cycling about 4-5 years ago… Ran 80-110 miles week… Favorite distance is 100 miles… Looking to cycle more run less….as I get OLD. Love fast rolling cross country riding on MTB, gravel riding on my cutthroat, and training on my road bike.
